Jerry has played and written for many artists, but currently remembered for being Alison Krauss + Union Stations featured dobro player. Along with Jerry Douglas, his special guest, and opening act is our own Johnny Statts' Bluegrass Brand! Johnny Staats burst upon the music scene in 2002 with the release of his critically acclaimed " Wires and Wood" album. The accomplished mandolin player and full time UPS driver from Cottageville, WV has been featured in the New York Times, People Magazine, on the Today Show, the CBS Evening News with Dan Rather and has made six appearances on the Grand Ole Opry. His music covers many genres of styles such as progressive bluegrass, Americana and Mozart with tight instrumental arrangements. His most recent " Wound for Sound" album is equally impressive as his first and his instrumental album of " Homecoming Favorites" with Robert Shafer is also available. Just as UPS does, he'll deliver!
